 How to change CAT excavator bucket teeth?


To change the bucket teeth on a CAT excavator, follow these steps:

  1. Engage the hydraulic lock and turn off the engine.
  2. Securely support the bucket with appropriate equipment.
  3. Remove the retaining pin or bolt holding the tooth in place.
  4. Slide the tooth off the adapter and replace it with the new tooth.
  5. Secure the new tooth with the retaining pin or bolt.
  6. Perform a visual inspection and ensure proper tooth alignment.
  7. Repeat the process for other teeth if necessary.
